History of the company

For more than 100 years, the Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group) plant has never retreated from the chosen specialization, thanks to which it has unique experience, knowledge, invaluable design and technological capital.

1917 is the official date of birth of the plant.
The first product of the plant was the simplest grain cleaning machine – a manual trieur. By the end of the 30s, the volume of production amounted to 30,000 of trieurs per year.

During the battles for the liberation of Voronezh, the building of the workshops and the factory building were completely destroyed. On 9th of July 1943, Plant No. 154 was transferred from the People’s Commissariat of the Aviation Industry to the agricultural engineering system, and on 7th of October 1943 it received the name of “Voronezhselmash”. The process of reconstruction of production capacities started.

On 17th of May 1946 the first post-war trieur was manufactured, and in 1948 the production of complex grain cleaning machines VIM-SM-2 was started. Over the years, VSM produced cotton-harvesting machines, calibrators for citrus fruits, equipment for processing flax, cleaning grass seeds, motor sprayers. Production of equipment for post-harvest grain processing remained the key activity area of the company.

In November 1967, the plant was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, in 1970 it was awarded the Diploma of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions. On 16th of March 16 1976, the plant was awarded еру Order of the Badge of Honour for the early execution of the tasks of the ninth five-year plan and the development of complexes of modern grain cleaning equipment.

Between 1976 and 1992 Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group) was the parent company of the production association, which included the Design and Technology Bureau (GKTB) and four enterprises in Voronezh, Kharkov, Bryansk and Suzma. The designers of the State Design Bureau developed high-performance machines that were used in grain cleaning until recent times: OVS-25 (1984), ZVS-20 (1986), MPO-50 (1992), as well as equipment for grain cleaning units and complexes (ZAV).

On 25th of May 1979 the millionth grain cleaning machine was manufactured at the plant. In 1983, a large group of plant workers was awarded the title of Laureates of the USSR State Prize.

In the 80s, the plant's products were delivered to 500 addresses of the Soviet Union, as well as to Bulgaria, Hungary, Mongolia, Laos, Kampuchea, Ethiopia, Cyprus, Madagascar, Afghanistan and others. Up to 130 machines rolled off the production line every day. The length of the production lines was two kilometres.

In 1993, the head plant was privatized, and it was transformed into the open joint-stock company Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group). Having lost state support, the plant faced serious economic difficulties, the main of which was a drop in production. But the plant survived.

In 2002, since the new management team led by the General Director Grigory Vladimirovich Chuiko came, a comprehensive program on improving the enterprise was carried out. In a short time, the production departments were reorganized, new management systems were introduced, equipment was modernized. The performance of the enterprise has grown significantly. Production and sales volumes are steadily increasing from year to year.

In 2006, Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group) introduced to the market a new generation of high-performance separators of the SVT line, which was awarded 10 gold medals and the Big Gold Medal from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. An engineering service has been created in the structure of the plant, providing an extensive list of services for construction of complexes for post-harvest grain processing. The Russian dealer network covered more than 50 regions. Dealerships opened in Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine.

In 2008, Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group) specialists, together with the Scientific Research Institute of Physics of the Voronezh State University, completed the development of a unique and completely new type of equipment - the F 5.1 Photo separator, which was recognized as the best grain cleaning machinery of 2008, having received the Grand Prix of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In 2009, by order of the Moscow government, Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group) experts developed and launched a line for macro-encapsulation of corn seeds, thereby solving the issue of growing seeds in a risky farming zone.

The core aspect of the work is building ready for moving-in facilities - elevators, seed lines, feed mills, grain cleaning and grain drying complexes. There are signed agreements on the joint production of silos, grain dryers, feed mills. The design department was established.

In 2010, the production of stationary and mobile grain dryers, high-quality transport equipment, silos of all types was launched.

On 26th of September 2012 the New Voronezhselmash (KOBLIK Group) Plant was opened. New production facilities have been located at the «Maslovsky Industrial Park».
